Poll: Is Xanga DEAD?

I just want to know if you guys think Xanga is dead... there has been virtually no activity on most of my subscriptions... there are only 3 guys who update regularly compared to the tons of ppl who used to post short updates.

So, has Facebook taken over? Is Xanga past due?

i think it depends on your circles. i'd say about half of my subscriptions update daily and the rest have stopped altogether. (i barely ever post anything... but i always MEAN to. ha ha... and i still like to read and comment every so often.

Yeah, isn't that weird? For a while, I was getting lots of updates and now I'm getting regular updates from just a few people who are probably going to make a career out of writing (like Winsome One!). However, I'm sensing that more and more people are feeling that blog void and might be making a return to Xanga! We'll see...

it's near dead sadly.  i stopped xanga'ing just after facebook started, but i'm off facebook (hate it) and going back to xanga, trying to get people to join me.  i heard of red mango recently.  a friend wants to try to start it in Toronto since it's so big in Korea & West coast. nothing like it here i guess.

yup, xanga is dead. i'm trying to keep it going, but i don't post enough. like the above comment, i'm not a big fan of facebook. i've considered deleting my account a number of times even.

Yeah, Red Mango is huge in Korea, but unknown here in the N. America. Actually, I think they are trying to expand into the N. American market as they have a presence in NYC and are planning on opening several stores in various areas. It's funny how Pink Berry has already taken over the West Coast.

Actually, when we were in TO 2 weeks ago, I saw that there was a Yogur-Berry in North York... On the West side of Yonge north of Finch... It's on the 2nd floor of a building... check it out - I'm sure it's very similar to Pink Berry/Red Mango.
